I had really poor service in Marks & Spencer in Villagio. Rude, unhelpful and dismissive. What was really surprising was that it was from a Fillipino. In my experience, Fillipinos are usually really good at cistomer service, they are nearly always friendly and helpful.

I wonder if it is anything to do with the lack of training and the general attitude that the customer is not important. Up until now there has been high demand for goods and services and fairly small supply. Now there is a lot more competition and those businesses that don't care about service will fail.
