Lots of assumptions and guessing here but I think for the most part it's pretty accurate. The three hour delay is not hard to believe because it sounds like the aircraft was already preparing for take-off and it's not like you just make a u-turn and return to the terminal. (remember this was not here).
From past experiences in KSA and here I have seen many times when a local holds up an aircraft because they are late arriving to the airport and they think they are priveleged, just like the automobile drivers here. Race and religion have nothing to do with it, there have been several occasions of celebrities pulling the same stunt back in the US, it is arrogance and selfishness. I wonder if the price of oil will go up now?
