Your argument for infant mortality rate does not work because the living ratio of grown males to females is still 1:1. So how does this apply to living rates? Sure more males must die at birth than females, but the living ratio is still 1:1 so more males must be born in the first place.
So because more male babies die at birth, it should be ok for men to have multiple wives even though the living ratio is still 1:1?? How does that argument make sense?
