there are many instances, in a boy-girl relationship, in the courtship stage, most guys/girls are putting their best foot forward in order to win the person.

as soon as they're already having a deep relationship, they take for granted the importance of the love, the relationship, and the individuality of both parties. it's just like they're both too close for comfort. they don't take care anymore of the relationship to grow.

just like also in the family, we take for granted the family members who love us, because, most of the time, we are too busy to appreciate it.
