When Sonu Nigam hosted Saregama, they had this thing called 'Dhun' (Notes) round where the contestants had to sing as per the Dhun cue given. Sonu was a well trained singer and he held of these rounds majestically. But Shaan was a bathroom singer and a hit without any basics in music! So they cancelled that Dhun round just to accommodate him as the Host. LOL.
