I agree that there were a couple of times when I have been "warned" from "cunning Lebanese who would sell you the moon/stars/air with their sweet lips and who would cheat/lie all the time just to rip off your money...etc" but these things were said in front of other Lebanese friends & in a funny/teasing way. There was no hatred or discrimination when it was said. I don't think that people/expats hate Lebanese! Why should we. There is the good, the bad, the ugly..in every nation :-)

I guess you have put your hands on some of the reasons that makes the Lebanese different/unique ("because we dress nice or because we have beautiful women")....so I guess some might not like it that the Lebanese women (and the whole society in general) lead a very "open" life style and they get provoked with the "very open" dresses that these women wear ;-) (no offense, dear)
But seriously, I think that some of the things you pointed out can perfectly answer fminkara/the question of this topic.
Here goes:
1."wut really seriously pisses me off are the lebanese that have western nationality and think that they are better then lebanese.

2."i cant stand a person saying am canadian lebanese or australian lebanese or french lebanese...its either your lebanese or not"
3."alot of pple are loosing interest in saying " i am lebanese ".
4."alot of lebanese join gangs and start doing really nasty things. If a lebanese was to act in that manner, he/she shouldnt be called lebanese"
Lebanese are generally nice people. I mostly enjoy the Lebanese senior citizens. They have so much manner, education, fun, and full of lovely old stories about Lebanon in the good old days.
Don't worry about some ignorant idividuals who haven't learned, yet, to appreciate Lebanese people. I also hope that you guys look at Palesineans, Jordanians, Syrians...etc with love & respect.
