I've just had my UK university degree certificate done, long procedure but here's what happened:
- university authenticated degree by stamping a copy and sending this to a notary public
- notary public done same but with assuring words stating that it was true copy of the original, etc.,
- the notorised copy was sent to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the UK for attaching a legalisation apostille
- document then sent to Qatar Embassy in London for further legalisation
- document taken to British Embassy in Doha for further legalisation
- and finally, document taken to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further acceptance
Also, I was required to have my degree translated in Arabic, authenticated by the British Embassy in Doha, approved by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and then presented to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for acceptance
