Your comments sound too arrogant. Accidents happen every day and this is because we are only human and prone to make mistakes. Most accidents are preventable, yes, but "others" taking care of providing a safe environment where children play is part of the prevention measures that could be taken to avoid accidents.
All I say is that if the authorities place a playground in the middle of two motorways, it would be safer if it was gated. That's all, it doesn't mean that "I cannot take care of my kids and expect the goverment to do it..".
I just think safety awareness and precautions are important.
And there is no point in blaming the parents of a child who has been run over. It's just a horrible accident and I cannot even start to imagine the suffering it must have caused in the family.
