Gypsy, I remember you lone stand against the Guidelines at that time we were voting for it and I respected it and still respect your position.
I recall the guidelines were created by the Admins after the clamor from most subscribers for some order and some sense at a time there was chaos in QL. And for a time peace reigned in QL land.....
I think the Admins (Qatari and Ahmed) have been pretty much upholding freedom of speech and have very sparringly used their Admin prerogative to delete, close or edit posts and threads. Unfortunately, recently most of the guidelines have now been ignored or forgotten or not known not only by newbies but also by regular posters (such as me - mea culpa).
But one thing we all should not forget regarding those guidelines is the last statement: Think before you post!
