With time, when you grow up and gain enought sellable experience, yes you can and should be in demanding position. It all depends on realizing your real potential, knowing your goals, personal and financial objectives and setting a target around it.
If you are with family, you can not survive below 10K (again a personal opinion).
In the begining, you need quality work as your company is investing in you not just by paying you salary but offering you opportunity to learn and grow so that to enhance your market worth.
