As a Quantity Surveyor I would agree with your wide range of subjects, BUT it depends on the size of the organisation you are in as to what your role will be.
Claims and Dispute Resolution is usually a specialisation, so is Taking off and preparing Bills of Quantity.
A Professional QS Practise, would normally have a People that specialise in both the above and other who deal with the day to commercial management of Valuations and Variations.
A Contractors QS usual has less focus on the Preparation of BoQ’s but has a wider focus on the rest.
The individual company, project, size, team etc, will all lead to a slightly different role.
