First of all, you brought this to yourself. You should have told the person you shared the room with that you were leaving, even if you didn't have any formalities binding you.  But the good news is, he has no legal hold on you and if he keeps the harassment...you may report him to the police citing threat and intimidation which has caused you and your family mental anguish.
