The housing part sounds good. I can tell you from my experience here that it will be difficult to save a lot of money. The cost of living here is sky high. My husband's employment package is somewhat similar and we find for a family of three (have a 2 year old) and being here for 8 months now, we have not saved a dime. Hopefully some of the regulars on QL will give you a better feel for the financial side of living here. As for living here in general, it's another world that will take a while for you to adjust to, I am still having a hard time of it.
