Depends on whether you need booze or not....if not, and the weather is ok, go to Al Morouj on the Corniche. Good food, bit pricey, but awesome views of West Bay.

With booze, I would say try Chingari (indian) at Ramada. Never had a bad meal there, low lit, live music and private. Great date restaurant. Or try the Cellar Bar at Oryx Rotana, good atmosphere, great wine and great food.
