First of all, u made a wrong assumption that men DO infact dominate women. That is not the case in many relationships. However, in the cases that men are dominating is can be due to several reasons:
1- He has a dominating nature (women can be that way too): Many people have a bossy nature.
2- Superiority/inferiority complex: he feels insecure and the need to crush others in order to make himself feel better.
3- He was brought up in an environment in which it was normal was for the man to be dominating and each gender had specific roles.
Ofcourse a man should never dominate in all cases, nor should a woman. There should be balance and cooperation between the two.
