Minimum salary was 4k for visit and 7k for family sponsor. The min for family sponsor has gone up to 10k but I am not sure about the family visit visa salary requirement after the revision. (Wait for an answer from someone knowledgeable)

Letter from employer is a requirement, don't know why.
