Agree with everything he said, but there are roads and breakfast runs where you can get a bike to its potential. Also you have Losail which does trackdays. They also get pro's from time to time to teach you how to ride fast...safely.
Drop a Ducati and you looking at a QR20k repair bill. The fairing alone is Qr2000.
Best service and parts availabillity is Suzuki, and Honda also has a good reputation.
Best advise is go to Starbucks on Friday morning, around 7h30am and go talk to the riders there -expats, and they ride all the brands, and they are good at it!
