Personally, I can't stand a woman's tears. I can think of few things that make me uncomfortable quicker. I would take a well-reasoned, well-thought out arguement every day of the week, but tears as a way to get something to to end an argument just make me cold.
Obviously tears of grief or pain are not the same, but turning on the waterworks over a minor tiff when words would work much better just rubs me the wrong way. That being said, they are effective because I find myself doing just about anything to make them stop...
