seriously...get some blood tests done. I know I sound like a broken record at times..but make sure they check the thyroid. Symptoms can include lack of sleep, weight loss, headaches, dry skin, etc...that's for the hyperthyroid. Its more common in women but men DO get it also. Be sure and talk to an endocrinologist instead of a GP as they know more what to look for as in nodules and not just the numbers.
Also...as well as I know you...you are someone who keeps tension inside...you don't let it out and that's never good. Go hit a bucket of golf balls on a regular basis, and I mean knock the snot out of them..put those faces on there of those that piss you off royally. You'll be surprised how good you feel afterwards. Also...don't watch the news of suspenseful tv/movies after 7 pm or especially before going to bed as it winds up the mind and stays with you for quite some time. Limit alcohol because it IS a depressant, but in some can act like a stimulant and make the heart race.
But the main thing to do is go out with some good friends(me!), have a good time, relax and just chill...
Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
