The bottom line is human beings are being discriminated at all levels. Even worse than that, they live as slaves.
If they were paid a decent salary, like other professions, they would be here with their families and Qatar would not be such an unbalanced society.
Let’s take the example of Canada (an extreme opposite example), construction workers’ salaries are can go higher than engineer’s as they are exposed to risky and tough environments. The physical work is rewarded with in a fare manner.
If Qatar would pay a decent salary to these people, and treat them as human beings, they would have a “normal” family life here and the people who are living here on denial including the locals, would not be so “offended” to see a construction worker in the mall, as he probably would be there with his family shopping or having a meal!
But this isn’t happing, right? And nobody wants to face the fact and expose it, as they risk to loose theirt own slaves if that would happen, and the growth o fcountries like Qatar (built with slaves) would have to grow at a more normal rate and all Qataris would have to work, like other nationalities do (take Oman as an example were Omanis are taxi drivers, bus drivers, hotel receptionist, flight attendants, cashiers, shop attendants and all other professions that may exist in a NORMAL society).
The issue here is slavery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
