except (here I go again...) please folks..do NOT use anything that is crystalline in form to scrub the skin..it makes microscopic cuts in the skin due to those sharp edges. Same with "natural" things like ground seeds, etc. If you are wanting to exfoliate your face, use the natural enzymes in pineapple and papaya. They dissolve the protein layers between the dead cells, which acts like a glue, and it releases the dead skin layer. And yes, you CAN eat it off your face, if you gethungry during the process. Leave it on for 15 minutes...it stops working after that long.
For body scrubs...instead of salt (if you INSIST on using crystalline substances!) use brown sugar and nut oil...that way if you DO end up with cuts, it doesn't burn and sting, but has the same effect.
On the egg yolk part...please!!! be careful to AVOID the mouth area since you are dealing with RAW egg and you don't want to get samonella poisoning.
"Exfoliate your skin the natural way. Mix grounded moong dal with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Make a paste by adding limejuice. Scrub your face with this paste to remove dead skin cells, cleanse the pores and rejuvenate dull and tired skin. " NO NO NO NO...please do NOT use salt and limejuice on the face!!! It will cut then sting and irritate the delicate facial skin!!! IF you put any form of citric acid, such as lemon, lime, pineapple, etc on your face, DO NOT get in the sun for at least 24 hours...the citric acid in these react with the sun and leave a darker splotch...
For the lips..use natural honey and a drop or two of essential rose oil. The honey is a humectant to retain moisture and the rose oil calms and soothes the think skin of the lips.
For makeup..use mineral ones...its basically 100% sunscreen since it all just ground up minerals, plus its really good for your skin.
Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
