Thank you all for the comments. Was highly dejected for some time but felt the need to update you that all is now sorted and I got my ID today.
The delay was because of error in finger print form preparation where my Mandoub forgot to mention that I am a previous RP holder and did not mention my ID no: in the field.
Hence, the govt authorities request a re-fingerprint to ensure if am the same person or if as they say one in 10 million cases where my fingerprint may match anothers!!
