can correct me on this one but have heard stories also were the hymen has had to been cut away during the birthing process, adding to the legend of the virgin pregnancy. But what ever If you read between the lines she actually didn't say she was a virgin she just led him to believe she was a virgin which to me suggest he made the ussumption first and she just didn't correct him.
