excellent points-
Doha cannot handle the day to day traffic as it is- the Olympic crowds would totally overwhelm the city roads. Also- the fact it is Muslim-law would be an issue- could athletes from Israel compete? Security would be a nightmare for them.
Doha doesn't have much to attract people- not sure (other than the Emir's money and oil) why it is on the list.
