Just because you are a westerner that doesn't like pork doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't. Alot of asian countries have a diet that does include alot of pork product not to mention european countries as well. It's the same with the alcohol issue, while we live here on semi permenant basis these are things we just accept most of us have a permit to buy alcohol from QDC and access to the bars, but from a tourist point of view if you are coming here for a celebration, which is what most people do for the olympics, trust me i lived through the Sydney games and worked in hospitalitym, most who dont get tickets for some of the major events will seek out the local watering hole, or buy some booze for home and watch it on the T.V. do not forget a majority of the people that will be here weather in an official capacity or just here to watch the games are used to just popping down to the local bottle shop to pick something up.
