people sitting in groups according to nationalities isn't usually racist, its because they tend to cluster together due to likenesses in their lives, language, lifestyles, etc.
Abu...I'm like you..I hang with every nationality and religion people. I find the multitude of differences between everyone totally fascinating and love to know more about different people and cultures.
Labda...my youngest son's best friend is black, and like your sister, the two of them have the best time stirring up trouble with the issue. I've heard some folks make an innocent comment and then get a shocked look on their face, say Ohh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you..and my son will say.."its ok, he knows he's black." To which his friend will about fall on the floor laughing.
And...it was lovely getting to meet you labda...You are an extremely attractive young lady.
As far as the racism here...yes it is shocking. I've personally never experienced anything like it anywhere else.
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
