I do, however know about other educational places. They do tend to segregrate but at the same time, I've seen many many friendships that have students of different cultures flying to visit their friends in different countries. Most of the time I think its more about what makes you comfortable and its human nature to stay within your comfort zone and be with those that have the same background as yourself. It might be more a matter of shyness than racism as it can be a bit intimidating to go up to someone that looks and sounds totally different than yourself and try and start a conversation. thexonic, you are a very outgoing person, but most people aren't..and it IS hard to meet others if your self confidence isn't high. Its probably NOT that they are judging others but judging themselves.
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked,the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
