When i was a kid back home, i remember what my grandpa used to do. each time a begger came to his house, instead of giving money directly, he will ask them to clean the yard or do something, so long as they earn the money that was given.
Gramps wasn't stingy with his money, way back then, 5 bucks was a very big amount. but as long as those beggars work for their keep, he have no problem giving.
nowadays, beggers are an organize syndicate. i agree with asamarji, to contribute money to a charity organization, so that they can decide who really need the money.
but to give QR200, i really have to disagree, got to much money then can spend is it?
