QP had this policy that in Ramadan Muslims work for 5 hours a day and Non-Muslims work the regular 8 hours. When I joined QP in 2004, that was the first and last ramadan that I had seen following that policy but from what I have heard, it had been the same for the last 30 years then suddenly just before Ramadan 2005, they had this new policy that from now on Muslims or Non-Muslims will all follow the same time.. That is 5 working hours in Ramadan. I guess it had to do with some Human rights association or perhaps they did it bcoz it is hard to distinguish your religion based on your passport. Most passports do not mention religion on it so how can you tell if a certain person is a Muslim or Chrisitan or Hindu or even a Jew for that matter.
