Well I’ve been home in the UK for 2 weeks now and I still haven't been attacked or stabbed.....I feel quite rejected. I thought you lot said Sussex was a gangland?
Do I miss Doha? Well for the past 2 weeks I have been able to eat & drink what I want when I want. I have watched my 800 Sky Digital HD channels on my HDTV while surfing the net at a speed that makes QTEL look like a snail stuck in glue. I have enjoyed walking outside in the sunshine at comfortable 23c instead of hiding inside next to my a/c in Doha. I have been able to talk to people who's opinions and attitudes are not directly from there religious beliefs.
So do I miss Doha?.....Nope, i'm afraid i don't. Every time I flew back to Doha previously, it felt like I was going back in time. The attitudes, the people, the technology (no online shopping..what a joke), etc.
I do miss all my friends in Doha, especially the Filipinos (i'm trying to find Chicken Adobo and nesemada in the UK!!!! ). I got to meet a lot of great people in Doha, I just wish I could bring them with me. I feel sorry for those people who are stuck in Doha who simply don’t have a choice but to stay, it’s like a prison for them.
