Haha! Nope. I doubt it would affect anyone's career and performance level provided he/she takes care of himself/herself. That means simply eating right, exercising, maintaining a balanced lifestyle for physical and emotional well-being. That's all. No need for all these "quick fixes". No short cuts. Like Nike's tagline, Just Do It.
And the part about "It is better for you to prevent it happens before it get worst." - If you already have it, preventing it is irrelevant, isn't it? The claim that the product heals chronic diseases just doesn't fly. Just have to take care of your health.
Speaking from my experience and background but subject to getting to know Qatar better, many companies would not hold it against you. And I think half the population (or more?) here in Qatar are diabetics(that's what I read in the newspapers a few weeks back). Doesn't stop them from living a full life.
