Amoud

Same with the 'all people are Muslim they just don’t know it yet' part, it is that all people are 'born' Muslim.

.. I already know this, that why I pointed it out. That is why the whole issue who can marry who is irrelevant. I was agreeing with the Imams!

this debate is ridiculous because it descended into a religious issue rather than law.

The law of the land was about indecency in public, not whether the marriage is acceptable to Qatar, which by way means that Qatari marital status in turn cannot be recognised in the country that these people come from. it works both ways, and I suspect that someone in authority looks rather foolish for letting this occur. Its very easy for everyone to condemn this couple when we all(locals as well) know that we were not there and that there is no fair enforcement of the law here.

Respect of the law of the land can only come about when the people of the land themselves respect the very law they demand and not cherry pick whichever suits them. They should lead by example, which is no more than I expect of myself in my own country.

The day I see locals respecting the smoking law (itself a very simple act) and stop disrespecting the Emir who issued this law, will be the day I can truly believe in respect of the law of the land.

as much as I believe you are trying to do the right thing Amoud and i do appreciate that, I believe (like most people here) in the reality.

Peace Out
