when organizations get donations they can purchase foodstuff in mass quantitites and therefore lowering the price because its purchased in bulk.

Formatted Soul...yes there are many people in the US that are in dire need of food and shelter...our government can't handle everyone's needs and many fall through the cracks in the system.
