I guess the people will respect the citizens of the country if those citizens respect them back. I would respect a person if this person was worth it, whatever the nationality. Qataris and foreigners is a love-hate but win-win relationship. We all benefit from it. Qataris get their country developed (lets be honest, they wouldn't manage on their own, and most of them know it), and foreigners make more money than back home (otherwise 99,99% of them wouldn't be in Qatar in the first place). So why all the hate? Yeah well it's tough to respect someone who jumps queues, drives like he's chasing yesterday's wind or behaves like King of the world. But hey, you find such people in every country. No nationality is immune. We have to coexist in the end!
