Kareena:
I have a question for you. You can ignore it but i would appreciate an answer from you.
Why did the Indian sub-continent (a could have been a mighty power) become a British colony in the first place? it is a fact that Britain did not even invade the region. They only established EastIndia company in the beginning. So why did they take over the region if i may ask?
I would also like to say, freedom meant something different to people of that region in 1940s to what it does to you now. That was a time of war, colonised people wanted to perhaps survive. now that you have a bit of stability (relatively speaking), an identity (to be ashamed of) you think about becoming a super power. Its sad.
I have many strings attached to Pakistan because its part of the larger community i identify myself with.
