You might be right about the Ashkenazi Jews. It's true, Sephardi Jews are about 20% of Jews, but you also have Mizrahi Jews (Arab Jews), they're about 3 to 3.5 million people. A (Jewish) friend of mine told me once that about 50% of the Jews in Israel have some Arab blood in them and that now it's getting harder to classify them into these groups (Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrahi etc..). I get your point though.
