When the W opened I visited 2 bars and 2 restaurants and thought that each was okay. Not amazing, not bad, but okay.

But after dealing with that awful woman on the door I would now never return to the hotel. So despite all the hard work and professionalism put in by the staff in the other restaurants and bars, I will now take all my business elsewhere.

Thankfully the Grand Hyatt opened at the same time. The restaurants are far superior and the bar is much more pleasent. I've been back the Hyatt several times to both The Grill and the Thai restaurant and will continue to frequent both.

If the W wants to attract a certain sort of person, so be it. I'm not one of them, and I don't miss the place.

Like I said, I'm glad all the Lebanese are in just a couple of places, because it stops them from also ruining the truly nice places, such as the Hyatt, for the rest of us.
