for the money, but because my husband and I discussed his position he has here and decided he really wanted to be involved in the process and administration of the company. We are life members of this company and wanted to make it a success here in Qatar, which is what has happened. The young people who are a part of it are absolutely amazing...some are Qatari and some are from all parts of the world. They have every right to be proud of their accomplishments.

As far as Qatar itself is concerned...I know its trying its best to grow along with the population and economic growth...but I, for one, do not like the way its progressing as it seems to be losing a lot of the personality it had. So many things have been put aside in the name of progress. I will say tho that the people are still as nice as they have always been....always most gracious. And...I love the geography and weather here (ok, I will admit that August is a bit much!).

I truly hate to see those billboards at the intersections and the advertising signs along the medians of roads. To me...those block the beauty of this country. I would rather see sand or even tractors and backhoes instead of advertising blocking the view.

May Qatar continue to grow but not at the expense of its own personality and people.
