In my country it is the law that cars give way to pedestrians. Here the opposite seems to be true. The whole problem is caused by bad planning combined with impatient, selfish (and often plain stupid) drivers rushing to somewhere that doesn't really matter. It doesn't help that most pedestrians walk out into the road without looking.
The story about the people wanting to move the injured boy out the way made me feel sick. how can anyone do this? what is the mentality of these people?
