The thing is, no matter how many privacy settings you can turn on, on your own facebook page. If one of your friends posts a picture of you in it (no matter if you remove the tag or not) friends of your friend will still be able to see that picture, and furthermore your name will still be attributed to that photo. It just wont be an actual link to your own facebook page.
There is nothing, I repeat nothing you can do to prevent other people posting pictures of you on the internet. Furthermore, most, if not all sites where the pictures are posted now have a mutual ownership of that picture. In other words, can re-use them to advertise if they really wanted.
