i understand there is a pretty good bike shop in Doha on Salwa road, a friend of mine bought an excellent entry level road racing bike there. i do not know if the prices are good or not, i'm probably going to check that out this fall as i miss a good bike ride.

if you are used to biking to work or just hopping on for a ride in the evening, you probably will be disappointed at some level here. people do ride at the outdoor track at the aspire as i understand but riding on the roads at any time is extremely dangerous here. there is a road racing group and a mountain bike club here. lots of people do go out riding really early on friday mornings when there is very little traffic. it is also waaayyy to hot from may to october to ride outside, just like itś waaayyy to cold in many parts of the world to ride from october to april.
