That's true, because admittedly there are still a lot of people who do get offended by swear words. Their offense is not a conscious decision they make, it is a result of their childhood conditioning. It's an emotional reaction to preconceived notions that swear words = insult.
While the offense they feel is not a conscious decision they make, to remove the offense is a conscious decision, but will only be made if the person has the ability to make rational decisions over emotional ones.
