i normally use facebook to find old friends (who i think might have an account too), get in touch with recent friends and get to know basic stuff about new friends. the apps (applications) are just like side-orders, you dont really have to use them unless you're just killing time. irritating though are the countless invites that you tend to get from friends who use such apps. but like i mentioned, i mostly enjoy FB when it helps me see old friends/relatives/classmates, how they look now:) and what they're upto nowadays. i actually found 20 or so classmates, 15 friends, and 15 relatives in facebook:)
