There is evidence that every animal species on the planet developed through evolution. Humans are bipedal, Elephants developed trunks, dolphins sonar, etc etc. There is a lot of unique evolutionary traits to many different species. There are plenty of fossils of pre-modern gorilla & chimp ancestor, They just aren't as widely publicized as pre-human fossils.
