btw I disagree about the Quraan only being understood in Arabic, albeit there is a HUGE YES that many terms in the Quran and meanings can change by a single 'tashkeela- punctuation' and sometimes there simply is no word in the English dictionary that offers a comprehensive translation, however given the effort on both your side and the book or person translating you can achieve full understanding of what is being said in the Quran.
It is our duty to help in this process.
00 made certain remarks weather joking or not for this confused person to take acid or ecstasy or whatever, if it was a joke I wont spare him my disdain as it is a crude one and reflects badly on a Muslims conduct, if is serious and uses mind altering substances himself then he too is just as guilty of non Islamism as she is and should be open about it, rather than commit to print that it's acceptable.

"maybe i will choose not to drink when am not forced not to"
To me, this makes you sound like an insolent or rebellious child, if you're drinking because you want to challenge the boundaries what type of reasoning is that?
Will you take drugs, have sex or do the latest Hollywood crap I don't think I would be wrong assuming you cater to and go on to bear an illegitimate child just because under the same reasoning "you're forced not to" and the lack of restrictions will allow you to stop, then by all means do what you want but don't be a coward and blame it on boundaries! If you're 16 and immature that could be understandable, but if you're not a rebellious teen then to want to do those things because you're not allowed to, shows you are imbalanced. You should do or not do something because it makes sense, Islam for me and many many Muslims especially new Muslims do things because it makes senseā¦Part of its making sense is that we know that when Islam prohibits alcohol is because it's bad for you. In the end Islam is logic, and btw expats weren't forced at gun point to convert
