There are definitely tons of stores that target kids, but they're all run-of-the-mill stores that carry "known" brands (usually their own) -- Pumpkin Patch, Baby Gap, Chico, Mamas & Papas, etc.
There are no stores, to my knowledge that feature non-chain store items/brands (i.e. boutique brands) - like Zutano, Baby Nay, Jottum, Kissy Kissy, Room Seven, Tra la la, etc.. . .along with some organic lines and some semi-local brands like Aunty Ollie http://www.auntyollie.com/ (out of Dubai).
It would be great to have a store like Giggle http://www.giggle.com/ , too, with trendy brands (beyond just Bugaboo), gorgeous wooden toys, and high-end items.
I feel like Qatar has the population and the demographics to support a store like this, provided that the right people were operating it, marketing it, etc.
I'm not up for starting a store, but it's on my "wish list" and I'd certainly shop there :)
