Why wait five years when you knew from the beginning that you were being abused?! Your passivity and silence invites abuse!
It's hard to believe that you were working 11 hours a day during 5 years with not even one single day of rest!!!!!! You are probably exaggerating your case to seek sympathy. Anyhow, you might have a problem and that is why you are here trying to ask for some advise (QL is not the best way, but here goes my views for your consideration).
Little assertiveness can be perceived from your attitude towards your situation and from what you wrote here. Why are you mixing others’ competences, with your company's hiring criteria and your victimized position? It implies immaturity and intrigue. This kind of mentality is never welcome in any organization.
If you have a problem, be specific and make sure that you focus on yourself. Avoid involving others, pin pointing fingers and interfere is areas where you have no say or control.
One can tell if an individual is focused on a goal and if strives or not to achieve it. You failed to demonstrate these characteristics and that is why abusers employers take advantage of people like you.
It’s not too late for a change:
Be assertive, focused and determined in achieving your objectives. Show some character and don’t always be passive and submissive!
Start sourcing for another job and when it’s aligned, resign!
