While some fought with arms, others chose a peaceful way of convincing the British masters. Others still believed that “pen is mightier than the sword.” Rabindranath Tagore fought with his pen. He gave up the prestigious “Knighthood” following the Jalianwalabugh incident as a mark of protest. His composition “Jana Gana Mana” was made the national anthem of India.
