Yes, that's the way it should be, but it is not always possible. Parents feel a sense a guilt usually leaving children behind to have a time of their own. This is specially true here as there is no family other than parents to look after children.
I personally feel that married couple can keep the spark of romance alive by little gestures of love as well like gifting flowers, saying I love you, dressing up for your partner, cooking special dinner etc esp.if they have no time to go for the date in traditional sense. These gestures are reminders that we still love our partner.
