When your cats were chipped you should have been given a contact form to complete which is then sent to the microchip database which is linked to that specific brand of chip. You would have then received a certificate through the post which confirmed your pets were registered and given you their ID numbers for the database. This initial contact information update is included in the microchipping service of the vet.

My apologies - updates are free of charge if you opt for the premium services of the databases which allows you to update your information online, receive a tag for your pets collar with the database phone number and many more services, all for a one off fee of around QR100. The tag is really important as it will have the manufacturer of the chip written on it which will save a lot of time in tracking you down if the pet is lost as the finder will go directly to the database you are registered with.1q

Please contact your vet if you haven't had a confirmation letter yet to find out which chip was used and where it was registered.

For more information please call QAWS on 5396074 as it can be quite complicated to explain how it all works!!
